A day on Lake Hartwell tends to end the same way. The boat comes out, everybody is hungry, and somebody has to pick a place to eat.
This is a plain guide for lake visitors. First, a few places that sit right on the lake. Then our place, 329 Bar & Grill in Hartwell, for when you want to sit down to dinner.
On the water
We cannot speak to their hours, so check their own site or give them a call before you head over.
- Boondocks on Lake Hartwell, Westminster, SC. A lakefront restaurant at 8835 Toccoa Hwy with indoor and outdoor seating and a full bar. Their site says you can come in by boat or by car.
- Traditions on the Lake, Seneca, SC. A restaurant and bar at 13500 Clemson Blvd, inside a hotel on the lake, with an outdoor lakeside patio.
- Doc’s Lakeside Bar & Grill, Anderson, SC. The lakeside restaurant at Hartwell Cove Resort, 4023 Whitehall Road, with a full-service bar.
Worth the drive into town
When you want a sit-down dinner, come into Hartwell. 329 Bar & Grill is at 126 W Franklin St.
We serve hand-cut steaks, seafood and pasta, with a full bar and craft cocktails. A few things from the menu: O’s Filet, an 8 oz hand cut tenderloin. Pecan Crusted Rainbow Trout. Cajun Pastalaya. Salted Caramel Cheesecake to finish.

When we are open
Tuesday to Thursday, 4:00 to 8:30. Friday and Saturday, 4:00 to 9:00. Closed Sunday and Monday.
We are open for dinner only. If your lake weekend winds down on a Sunday, we are closed that day. Better to read it here than find out at our door.
